Can I use MineSphere for free?
Absolutely! If you are a player then MineSphere is 100% free of costs for you. You are welcome to explore other players’ builds and be a part of the MineSphere community for free.
If you are a server administrator, you can also use MineSphere service for free by installing any of the compatible plugins. However, you may be subject to rate limiting depending on the amount of builds in your server.
Which plugins connect to MineSphere?
Currently, only one plugin called LandGuard is integrated with MineSphere. Therefore, if you are a Minecraft server administrator and want to have access to MineSphere platform, then you must install LandGuard plugin in your server. We’ll make sure to update the plugin list as more plugins get integrated.
Can I integrate MineSphere into my plugin?
If you are a Bukkit developer, you can integrate your plugin with MineSphere using MineSphere SDK. With this SDK you can publish players’ builds to MineSphere and allow players using your plugin to have access to MineSphere community.
What Benefits do I gain from using MineSphere?
If you are a player, MineSphere ensures that your Minecraft constructions built inside servers compatible with MineSphere remain secure, no matter what. Additionally, you can download your builds and use them in your offline worlds. Besides that, you can explore other player’s creations and find inspiration to create your own amazing creations!
If you are a server owner, you can benefit from the MineSphere community by using plugins that integrate with MineSphere. It will allow your players to access their builds everywhere and depending on the plugin, you may even be able to restore players’ properties from MineSphere even if your server needs to be reset. Additionally, if your server has lots of community-approved builds, it can be displayed in MineSphere home page allowing more players to know your server.
Is MineSphere safe?
Yes! MineSphere does not have access to your server and cannot perform any kind of write operation remotely. The connection between MineSphere-enabled plugins and your server only occurs in one way; from your server to MineSphere. Therefore, you can rest assured – MineSphere will never interfere with your server’s normal operation.
